This past Saturday, Phil took Philip to the UGA ("Go Dawgs game" as Philip calls it) game in Athens vs. Mississippi State. He was so excited to go to the game and to "be a big boy on a boy's trip" as he kept saying and loved every minute of it... except for Hairy Dawg of course. Philip literally sat in his seat or Phil or Papa Doc's lap and WATCHED the game... the whole game!! He was so good... it looks like we have a little bulldog in the making for sure!! I have never heard of a 3yr old sitting still for 3 hours... but whether he was really watching the game or watching that Hairy Dawg... he sat still so that was a huge success. Philip apparently liked to know Hairy's whereabouts throughout the entire game and if he lost sight of him for one second, Philip was quick to ask daddy, Papa Doc, uncle Blake or Aunt Lyd where that hairy dawg had gone. The best part is Philip isn't scared at all of the real Bulldog UGA (who lets be honest is a little scary... Im even a little scared of him sometimes when he barks) but is terrified of the dressed up person in the Hairy Dawg costume... what can I say Philip doesn't mess around with dressed up animals... he doesn't like them and never has - and yes, that includes Monkey Joe, the Easter Bunny, the Chick-fil-a Cow and the list goes on and on. Looks like Disney World is not in our future anytime soon!! But Philip loved the game, loved tailgating, loved doing the G-O-O-O-O-O Dawgs cheer at every kickoff, loved holding up four fingers at the start of the 4th qtr (mommys favorite too) and of course loved his lunch which consisted of cotton candy, m&ms, a chocolate chip cookie and a jumbo pretzel... whats not to love I guess! Oh and to top all of that... Georgia won and it was Philip's first SEC win at the game... Go Dawgs!!!!
Big and Little Bulldogs in the making (daddies and their boys)
Tailgating with Papa Doc
