Parker's 1st birthday puppy paw-ty

Parker had a blast at his 1st birthday puppy paw-ty! Thank YOU to everyone for coming!! We loved celebrating our little Parker man with our family (Parker had all 4 of his grandparents (Mimi, Grande, Gigi and Papa Doc) and one of his great grandmothers, Mimi, in town at the same time just for him... such a special treat) and all our great friends! Our sweet music teacher Liz from music together (which mommy and Parker do together while big brother Philip is in preschool - our special time just the two of us) came to play, sing songs and play instruments with Parker and all his friends. The kids loved playing the sticks (their favorite), singing songs and barking like a dog! Next up.... smash cake and cupcakes! Parker had the cutest smash cake in town (thank you Haines!!) in the shape of his very own little puppy and the kids all loved their yummy paw print cupcakes... too cute, right?! The party was so much fun and the kids all enjoyed their puppy ears and puppy cookie party favors! Parker was in absolute heaven and loved every minute of his party with all the attention on him... a rare occasion for sure with his big brother Philip around!! Happy 1st Birthday Parker man... we love YOU!!

Look whose still excited to be ONE?!

Parker man!! We had Parker's one year checkup today and he is absolutely PERFECT from head to toe!! He weighed in at 22 lbs 7 oz. and was 30.5 inches long. He is in the 50% for weight and head circumference (46cm) and is in the 75% for height. He of course flirted the whole visit long with his big BROWN eyes... and the visit ended with scoring two Buzz lightyear stickers for his older brother... so fun!!

Today we had Parker and James' birthday playgroup! Yay, it was a blast with sesame street cupcakes, 12 kids under the age of TWO, and of course mommy juice! James and Parker were born just one day apart... so they got to eat their cupcakes in style as the paparazzi (us proud mommies) took countless pics! Our bedtime routine with the boys is enough to melt anyone's heart... from baths and giggles to storytime and singing... it's the BEST!! Tonight for Parker's birthday Philip asked if he could sing to Parker all by himself! There is just nothing sweeter in the whole wide world...

Happy 1st Birthday Parker man... I cant believe you are already ONE!! It seems like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms for the first time praising God for you, our little miracle born 4 weeks early less than 2 hours after Valentines day had ended!! You were born at just 6lbs 4oz at 1:41am and you were absolutely PERFECT from head to toe! You truly were the best belated Valentines Day gift a girl could ever dream of... and you filled our hearts more than my wildest dreams!! Our lives were changed forever that night... and we truly dont know how we ever lived a day without YOU! You are the most happy, content and low maintenance baby I have ever known!! If I could have 10 more just like you, I would do it in a heartbeat!! You sleep like it is your job (literally - I think you are still averaging 18 hours out of 24 hours asleep a day)! You eat anything and everything we give you... so easy! And though you weren't a huge fan of the sippy cup on day 1, it only took 4 days for you to love it too!! You just drank your last bottle tonight and I cried as it ended though you were happy to toss it aside because you want to be a big boy just like your big brother Philip. You melt my heart every time you smile and laugh and everytime you hug and kiss Philip I wish time could just stand still!! You truly are so in love with your big brother and you look up to him in countless ways. And guess what, the perfect thing is he is crazy about you too... yall truly are best friends!! You have the biggest brown eyes I have ever seen that are going to drive the girls crazy someday I am sure! What can I say... you are absolutely PERFECT head to toe!! Your first birthday today was filled with lots of LOVE and lots of CUPCAKES (cupcakes for breakfast and dinner... good thing they are made with eggs and milk)!! And what can I say you are like your mommy for sure... you love to stretch your partying out for weeks at your birthday too! We will be celebrating all week with all your best friends and your puppy party will be here before you know it... cant wait to celebrate with you everyday!!! Puppy Love

Happy Valentine's Day! As a special valentine treat (and for Parker's 1st bday which is Feb 15), the boys got a puppy this year!! Yay... meet Herschel, our new English golden retriever puppy. The boys are having a blast playing ball and chase with him, giving him treats (of course), and wrestling at bedtime (a Brosseau boys tradition). Unfortunately, Herschel thinks Parker is a toy since he is his own size... dog whisperer training, here we come. Can't wait for everyone to meet our newest precious addition to the Brosseau family. We are so in love already!!!

Yay, its official! Parker is now drinking whole milk out of a sippy cup! After a 5 day battle, lots of tears (both me and him) and multiple sippy cup purchases (too many to count)... Parker has learned to love his newfound talent. Cheers!

Guess whose back in school?!

Philip is!! Today, was Philip's first day back to school after a long extended Christmas and January break! And boy was he and (his mommy) so excited!! Philip was so wound up for school that this morning he woke up extra early (8:00am - and that is VERY early for my little sleeper), he picked out his own clothes and he ate his big boy hearty egg breakfast that I made especially for him! Knowing how excited he was about getting back to play, we decided to take cupcakes to his precious classmates and sweet teachers to celebrate... Yay!! And to mommy and Philip's surprise... daddy even surprised Philip at school today during playtime to see all of Philip's friends and play on his fun first day back. And so when I went to pick him up from school... he came running to the car screaming, "mommy, guess what? daddy came to play today, daddy came to play today!!" Who has the best daddy in the whole wide world?.... Philip and Parker!! It has been a great day! And what can I say... mommy, daddy and Philip look forward to many more days of Philip BACK at SCHOOL!
