Go Dawgs football games and Safari in Atlanta

Labor Day was a big fun week... We went to Atlanta so we could take the boys to the first season kick off GA game (Parkers first game ever in the stadium past the tailgate scene) in Athens and then spent the week in Atlanta so Phil could work there to avoid the DNC chaos in Charlotte. The ga game was super fun although it might have been the hottest game I have ever been to in 30 years of my life but it was as always well worth it!! Philip was an old pro and loved watching the game and keeping an eye out for Hairy dawg (of course) - not sure when this child will get over the fear of costumes but since it keeps him sitting in his seat at the game... guess we will take it! Parker however got hot really fast and since i was 5 1/2 months prego.. the noon kickoff was probably not the best for either of us. We made it through the first quarter and into the second before we were blowing the other team out and decided to take the boys to grab lunch at the infamous grill and head back. So though it was a short stay at the game - it was worth it as mommy got her pic inside the stadium with Parker at his first game! Then we were in atlanta for the week and had fun playdates visiting family, eating at the club with gigi and papa doc (the boys favorite of course), helping set up Aunt Lyd's baby's nursery - Philip especially loved helping uncle Blake and Papa Doc put together the rocker and then both boys loved pretending to sleep in the babys crib, and going to a real safari!! The safari was south of atlanta and my mom found it online and was so excited about taking the boys. We weren't sure what to expect but when we got there and got on the bus that took us through to feed and see the animals... we were beyond impressed! The animals would literally stick their heads into the open windows to eat out of our hands. The boys weren't scared at all and loved every minute of it and my sweet grandmommie got to come too which was a real treat and a memory I will have forever. From feeding texas longhorn (yes daddy was proud) and giraffes and  lamas to zebras, donkeys and so many more - it was a fun filled safari adventure. The week was so much fun and like our brosseau fam vaca... too short. But we loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back soon!!

 Go Dawgs!!!
