Thats what Philip screams everytime he scores!! Well like I have always said... he takes after his daddy in more ways than one. He not only looks like Phil literally spit him out but now he plays soccer like him too. Philip is quick to cheer, probably one would say the loudest on the team and he really as Phil did believes he is one of the best players on the team (even though he has never played before and has no clue what he is doing). Gotta love that confidence, right?! I dont know if Philip was more excited about playing soccer or his new cool shin guard soccer socks that we got him... guess he too has a little mommy in him. I mean looking the sport is half the sport (obvi)!! We are also so excited to be on the same team as our adorable friends, Harper and Tyler White. They are pros at soccer and played last year so we are hoping Philip might learn a thing or two from them!! And Parker was a little sad during the soccer game as he just didn't understand why he couldn't play with Philip... looks like we might need to fib about his age pretty soon and get these boys playing on the same sports teams like my parents always did -ha! And I must admit... watching 10 little 3 year olds run around chasing the ball on and off the field (where they usually always ended up - ha) is priceless!! Check back soon... videos to come! :o)
Getting his "game face" on as he calls it
Team Huddle with Coach AJ
Pre-strategy game talk with Harper and Tyler
Stretching exercises (Philip's favorite part - flying like an airplane as he called it)
Getting warmed up doing some drills
Getting ready for his
first soccer game ever!
Looking like a pro
GOAL!!!
And this is how the little boys guarded the goal... you would have had to be a olympic soccer pro to get through that baracade... now I know why the other team scored in the wrong goal - ha!!
Last weekend, we went to Charleston to be with family as we were so excited Mimi and Grande were going to visit. We had lots of great food, great company and as always in Charleston great weather. And Mimi and Grande were so sweet as they brought Parker a special birthday present for his 2nd birthday. Parker is obsessed with SHOES (daddy's shoes, mommy's shoes, boots, rainboots... you name them he is obsessed with putting them on). Afterall, what did I expect, he is part me. So he's now two and already has great taste in accessories - obvi! And so for his birthday... they gave Parker man his very first pair of real cowboy boots and as you can imagine... he LOVED them!! He put them on immediately and ran all around in them smiling from ear to ear! We literally have to bribe him to get them off (hey, dont judge... you would do it too for a little cookie here and there). And he even now wants to sleep in them but for fear he might kick his new roomie (not to be named)... we have to take them off and hide them each night- LOL! Thank you so much Mimi and Grande... we are excited to have a real little cowboy now! What about a horse next year?... just saying. We love yall so much and had a wonderful weekend together! Hope to see yall soon! xoxo
For months we had been telling Philip and Parker that Parker was going to move into Philip's room into his own big boy bed when he turned two. We read books about big boy beds, bye bye crib and even played Parkers favorite game "night night" pretend in his big boy bed. So as you all know on February 15... our little Parkerman turned two! And as always, it seemed like everyone was ready for him to leave his crib behind except for me!! I kept telling Phil... there is really no rush, why dont we just leave him in his crib a few more months?! Afterall the boys sleep still like college kids who had bingers the night before somedays sleeping in on the weekends till 9:30/10am. So as I kept thinking... if it isn't broken, why try and fix it?! And selfishly I definitely didn't want to mess up what I got going. Obvi! Well that all worked fine until Philip started asking... "But mom, you said Parker could move to my room when he turned two... and he is now two." Oh the joy of having an observant and detail oriented 3 year old and still not sure where he learned this "But mom" thing... I mean what are these kids learning at school? Anyways, I digress... So I realized then that I needed to fold. I felt like Parker was ready and Philip was beyond ready and so... we took the leap! Parker is now sleeping in his very own twin "big boy bed" as he calls it and LOVES it even more than his crib (if that is even possible). The boys fall asleep giving each other kisses and after lots of giggles... they sleep longer than they did before. Its crazy... its like they have a comfort knowing they arent in there alone (yesterday they took a 4 hr nap and then rocked out another 12 hours that night). Not sure how we did but I feel like I won the lotto with sleep. Praise the Lord for not giving us more than we can handle bc I am pretty sure sleep deprivation is top of my list. But the boys together is truly the sweetest thing in the whole world. They are building lifelong memories together and there are nights when Phil and I just lay and watch and listen to them on the monitor because it is just so precious. So now not only are they brothers, wrestling partners, best friends (some of the time) but now they are ROOMIES too!! Night Night!
Boys fast asleep in their beds (still cant get over how little they both look in these big boy beds)
And boy is he ever... today has been super fun filled with lots of friends, lots of sweet treats (of course) and lots of LOVE! Parker loved celebrating his birthday in full out "Woody and Buzz style" and loved even more walking around telling everyone he saw (yes, even complete strangers), "I'm TWO!" It was TWO cute... In addition to being cute however, our little Parker man also wanted to let his 2nd birthday be known by a few temper tantrums here and there... oh how fun it is to be TWO!! We also had his 2 year check up with Dr. Cross this week and he was perfect from head to toe!! He weighed in at 29 lbs 1 oz (50%) and was 35 inches tall (65%). The Dr was very impressed with how you literally were talking in sentences (oh give mommy strength though as I never thought I would have TWO kids that talk completely nonstop), how you sang your abc's and counted to like 10 all after shaking her hand when she walked in the room and saying "nice to meet you." Oh how you love to show off at the dr's office. So I guess what can I say... here's to turning TWO going on 16!! Parker, we are so proud of you and love you more than words!!!
And here are just a few of our favorite "Parker-ism's" these days...
* We can't get enough of your "snuggle hugs" as you call them every morning when you wake up
* You literally melt our heart over and over when you hold up your hands and say, "hold me peese"
* You have a belly laugh that is contagious beyond words
* You literally want to be just like your older brother Philip and ask for "Fullup" all day long (melts my heart except for when you tried to jump off the coffee table like Philip - that did not end well)
* You have the sweetest temperament beyond words and are so laid back (we are still not sure where that comes from... maybe your uncle Blakey - ha)
* Your favorite song is still "The wheels on the bus" and you love singing it every morning on the way to preschool
* You are OBSESSED with Woody and Buzz Lightyear and literally narrate your day through your woody and buzz imaginative play
* "To Infinity and Beyond" is your daily motto and I LOVE that you live it to the fullest each and everyday
* If you could have one super power it would definitely be "to fly"... as you love pretending and sometimes even trying to fly (its your favorite game these days)
* You absolutely LOVE to dance and shake your booty (moves like jagger is still your favorite song... oopsie)
* You now sleep in a big boy bed with multiple toys (your woody, buzz, jessie, bullseye, blankey and of course "baby" your giraffe and I love that everynight you want me to kiss them all goodnight including you multiple times)
* When you sing in your soft precious voice "I love you Lord" with me when I lay you down for bed I literally get alligator shaped tears in my eyes (please don't ever stop doing that)
* You love the lord with all your heart and I love how you still pray for buzz every night and always end your prayers with the cutest "amen" I have ever heard
* You still sleep way longer than most college kids (praise the lord for that... and please definitely don't ever stop doing that either)
* You are the only kid I have ever known that literally asks to go "night night" at naptime everyday
* And last but definitely not least... you are and always will be our sweet little Parker man! We love you more than anything in this world our precious little TWO year old!! Cheers to being TWO!

Happy 2nd birthday Parker man!
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!!!
Yay... I'm TWO!
We love you birthday boy!
And what would a birthday be...
without Woody and Buzz!? Not Parkers... thats for sure!
The birthday boy loved his new buzz's (yes, that is plural) and his cool new scooter and mickey mouse dancing game! Isnt turning TWO so fun?!!
And Big Thank yous to Miss Holly for our yummy cupcakes at chick-fil-a on Parker's bday! (Parker and Holden... BFFs)
The birthday Prince at School
eating his yummy "2" shaped cookies!
All Parker's school friends singing happy birthday to him... he felt super special as he smiled and wore his bday prince hat!!
There is lots of LOVE in the Brosseau household as we celebrate Valentine's Day and continue our countdown to my sweet little Parkerman's 2nd birthday tomorrow! The boys are SO in love with their new fur sleeping bags and demanded to take a nap in them... too cute! And the buzz rocketship was such a hit (its a good thing there were TWO... thanks Gigi and Papa Doc). Oh and Philip now only refers to Parker as "Birthday Boy"... pretty comical when he talks to him all day long saying "hey birthday boy, lets play buzz and woody or hey birthday boy... thanks for saying you want me to have lots of your birthday cake and some of your presents... I would love to birthday boy." I still can't believe that 2 years ago to the day... Phil drove me to the hospital at 8pm awaiting the arrival of our little blessing from above. Parker was born hours later at 1:47am on Feb 15 and so thankful that I held out on the pain for an extra hour so his birthday wasn't on Valentine's Day - LOL! On and On... the fun and love continues. xoxo
So take off your clothes!!" This was how the card read that I woke up to from my adorable and not so sweet husband - ha. Then however... I came downstairs to this! So ok... he is forgiven!! Although I am not the biggest Valentine holiday fan... I do LOVE my candy - so bring it on! And along with all that candy... I got lots of LOVE from all 3 of my boys... I feel so blessed! Happy Valentine's Day! xoxo
Leads to nothing but TROUBLE!! This is what I came home to on Sunday afternoon after running a quick (like wasnt even gone a total hour?!!) errand run to Target! I can't get over how they both are holding "it" as if they have a whole lot to hold - LOL! Gotta love little boys... lets just hope this little habit doesn't resurface on the church playground at preschool this week (can't imagine that fun phone call from the teacher)!!
Phil and I couldn't be more excited as his brother (Boone and Avri) just moved to Charleston a few weeks ago. We went to visit them last weekend and the boys had an absolute blast!! From getting lots of hugs and kisses from their sweet aunt Avri, golf cart rides with their uncle Boone and playing fetch with George to playing chase on the beach, eating out at fun restaurants which were always followed by trips to the ice cream shop (of course) and getting candy on Kings Street... we are already counting down the days until our next visit! We have seen them back to back weekends since they moved and only one word describes my heart to have family so close... BLESSED!! See yall soon... oh, and by the way, we cant wait to move in with yall with the kids for the summers... literally - ha!
