Dada's make the world go round

Little boys love their dada's! And on December 19, 2008, Philip said his first precious word... "dada." It was the most amazing little sound and it truly melted our hearts. Phil of course is one proud daddy that he said dada first and not to mention before mama. But then again, Phil has been brainwashing Philip the past few months saying... "whose going to buy you your first car? dada; whose going to take you to all the Georgia football games? dada; whose going to take you on your first fishing trip? dada. So of course he said "dada" first... if anything at least we know he is smart!

Our little Model

Philip had his 6 month professional photo shoot and boy was he a sight to see! He had such fun and even got to get some very special pictures with his Mimi and Grande and Papa Doc! Is he precious or what?! He absolutely loves being in front of the cameras and of course not to mention also being naked... we are now just waiting on his modeling contract! :o)

Meet Ziggy the Elf...

Have you ever wondered how Santa could know if you're naughty or nice each year as you grow? For hundreds of years it has been a big secret. It now can be shared if you promise to keep it. At holiday time, the day after thanksgiving, each year Santa will send Ziggy the elf to the Brosseau household. He will watch and report all that Philip does. His job's an assignment from Santa himself. Ziggy is his helper, a friendly scout elf. Each night while Philip's sleeping to Santa he'll fly to the North Pole right through the dark sky. Of course Christmas magic helps him to be quick. He laughs with his friends and reports to Saint Nick. He tells if Philip has been good or been bad. The news of the day makes Santa happy or sad. A push or a shove he'll report to "the Boss," but small acts of kindness will not be a loss. In the car, at the park or even at school the word will get out if Philip breaks a rule. Ziggy will be back at our home before we awake, and then we must find the new spot he will take. We'll jump out of bed and go running to see: who'll be the first to spy little old Ziggy? Maybe the kitchen, in a shoe, or den is where you will find him, our special elf friend. He can hide in the tree, on a shelf or a frame. Where will he be? Let's make it a game. Ziggy can't speak to kids, so says Santa Claus. All of the elves have to follow his laws. He'll listen to kids... so tell him your wishes. The gleam in his eye and bright little smile shows you he's listening and noting your file. The final decision with Santa will then rests. What do you think? Will you get your request? The night before Christmas, his job's at an end. The rest of the year with Santa he'll spend. Of course Ziggy will miss us, but wait 'til next year. When the holidays come again, he'll reappear.
Ziggy the Elf... where will he be in the morning?
Is he visiting baby Jesus?...
Or is he maybe playing in the tree?... Do you see him Philip?
Still no Ziggy... is he maybe under the tree?
Nope... not in or under the tree... where the heck is that silly elf?
Oh I think I see him... is Ziggy playing in your stocking?
Yeah... there he is! Now tomorrow we will have to find him yet again... and the fun continues. :o)

All I want for Christmas is...

... my two front teeth! Philip had a very big day when we took him to see Santa Claus and to ride the pink pig with his new sweetest friend Carolyn, the little girl who I now keep everyday. His Gigi, great-grandmother Mimi, Phil and I all went together and boy was it fun! Philip did great in Santa's lap although he wasn't quite sure about that long beard of his so he pulled it and of course even tried to eat it. I don't think Santa was too happy... but he smiled anyway. Philip told him his long wish list for christmas... from a Noah's Ark, books and puzzles to a toy chest and last but not least his two front teeth! Lets see if Santa can make his little wish list come true this year!

Then we took Philip and Carolyn to ride the Pink Pig. We were a big crowd as we took up an entire train car... we brought in the whole caboose. Philip absolutely LOVED the ride and was laughing and grinning from ear to ear the whole time. Carolyn had fun too but I think she was not so sure about all the talking animals and music. Then Philip's Gigi was so sweet and bought him his very own pink pig and a pink pig train ornament to go on his first christmas tree... he was elated. We also got Carolyn a little priscilla the pig ornament for her first tree too... she loved it! It was such a fun and exciting day and now a new tradition begins for the Brosseau family!

A wonderful day... sealed with a kiss!
