The Toys are Back in Town... Happy 3rd Birthday Philip

Philip had such a fun Toy Story party at Monkey Joes with all his sweet friends! Gigi, Papa Doc, Grandmommie and Granddaddy all came into town for the big party and it was a blast!! I had so much fun planning and making things for this cute party theme... From monkey and lady bug personalized party favors (to tie in the Monkey Joes location of course) to decorating with all Philips favorite toys (Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye and more) and Mr. Potato Head cake pops (which I thought would be so fun to make but after the fifth hour... the fun-ness wore off for sure... at least they tasted yummy)... Philip had the best time at his Toy Story 3rd Birthday Party!! Thanks everyone so much for coming... Philip is now already asking when his next party is!! Praise the lord birthdays only come around once a year!!

Birthday Cupcakes, Donuts in Bed & Big Boy Adventures for the Birthday King

Today, we took birthday cupcakes for Philip and all his friends at school and boy, was he fired up to have his daddy, mommy and his Parker man at his school with all his friends!! He had a special birthday crown that he wore all day long (we could barely get it off of him to take a nap - took me making up a story about how woody and buzz wear birthday crowns but they never sleep in them for him to agree to take it off)! Oh the joys of having a three year old... he's always negotiating! Let the fun begin!! And then to celebrate Philip turning 3 on his actual birthday, April 27, we started the day with donuts in bed with candles and singing and the whole nine yards! He was so excited!! Next up was our big boy adventure day that mommy had been telling him about for weeks!! So out we went... mommy, Philip, and Parker to the kids discovery place in uptown. Philip LOVED it!! They had the coolest, biggest water table he had ever seen and he loved squirting Parkerman with the water guns (of course). Then we played the kitchen tool drum set and Philip did a concert for everyone around as he sang "you got a friend in me (too cute right?! Well unfortunately he got mommy's singing voice)." Next up... the light-n-bright (mommy's favorite). It was so cool and the kids got to make fun pictures with the lifesize light-n-bright (wish they had these big ones when I was a little girl... one of my favorite all time classic toys growing up). Philip also hula hooped, played puzzles, saw all the fish in the aquarium and the rainforest animals and it all ended with a fun lunch out with cupcakes (of course) to celebrate!! It was a full big boy day... isn't being 3 so fun?!! NEXT up... Philip's Toy Story Monkey Joe's Birthday Party... he can hardly wait!!
