So much to be thankful for... it will make you cry!

Happy Turkey Day... and as always we have so much to be thankful for this year! We celebrated Thanksgiving in St. Simons with Gigi and Papa Doc and uncle Blake and sweet aunt Lyd. This day was really special as I got to cook with my mom for the first time ever on Thanksgiving and we prepared the best turkey meal ever and had such fun doing it together! I even learned how to make gravy from scratch... who would have thought I would be 29 years old and still not know how to make gravy... but it was so fun learning from my sweet mom... I will cherish these moments forever! It was also absolutely perfect weather and Philip loved getting to do all the fun things we always do at the beach... like of course riding in the golf cart (even though this time, he had his first official run in with the law on Turkey Day... another story for another time... but someday I guess he will just have to ask his Gigi and Papa Doc about his first official police encounter). He also was estatic about getting to go to the beach and run around and play... I mean really, does life get any better than that... I don't think so! Philip also loved getting to read books with his Gigi and have fun, sweet bathtimes and he loved playing his paci kissing game with his Papa Doc as well as his pointing "you" game which I might add was hilarious! On top of all that, we all were fired up to get to cheer our Dawgs onto an amazing victory against Georgia Tech... Philip of course did his favorite "Go Dawgs" cheer and touchdown dance every time we scored which was the hit of the night! We feel so blessed on this special holiday and praise our Lord for all our very undeserved blessings... from our next little angel who is planning to arrive in March 2010 to our sweet precious little boy Philip who continues to amaze us and makes us laugh and smile everyday... and to our amazing families who love us and who we love more than words can say... we thank you Lord!

Thankful for Grandparents Love

We are so blessed and so thankful for Philip's loving and amazing grandparents!! His Mimi and Grande flew in for a weekend of fun and boy was it ever fun! We started the weekend off right with the best burgers in town at "Big Daddy's" which was then followed by Saturday morning donuts, playing in Freedom Park where Philip showed how he goes down the big boy slide all by himself (and did I mention head first??... he is fearless, "all boy" and so much fun), watching football, relaxing by the fire and church on Sunday. Philip loved playing chase with his Grande and of course wearing his big cowboy boots (we have recently detected that Philip has a shoe fetish... now, where could he have gotten that from?!) and he really loved reading books and snuggling in his "rock rock" chair with his Mimi. He loves to get into the big rocking chair and say "rock rock" "rock rock" "rock rock" over and over... it is just so cute. He showed off all his new tricks... from his favorite new word "Whoa" that he yells as he spins around and around until he is so dizzy he falls down and his new "jumping" skills to playing peek-a-boo, reading his favorite book his Pajama Bible and last but not least doing his new "Mimi flirt shoulder move." It was such a wonderful weekend... and what a time to be in Thanksgiving to god for ALL good and perfect things... especially grandparents! We love you Mimi and Grande! XOXO
I love you Mimi (Philip's new shoulder flirt move that he only does for his Mimi)
Mom, when can I get me some of these real cowboy boots... they are awesome?!
I'm gonna getcha' Grande!!
Goodnight noises everywhere... I am going to read books and "rock rock" with my Mimi

Fairies, Poodles and Bears... Oh My!

Philip hopes everyone had a BEARY happy Halloween! He had a blast trick-or-treating for the first time ever and even got to do it with his precious cousins, Alli Lane and Boots. He was our lil teddy bear and boy was he too cute for words. He even thought he was so cute that he put a new meaning to trick-or-treating and literally would open people's front doors and just walk right in like he owned the place... what can I say, he is his father's son! Thank goodness we were at Gigi and Papa Doc's house and they are actually great friends with all their neighbors. And Philip of course loved the candy and even more so loved the CHOCOLATE! He even created a new tradition of eating his candy in between houses while we trick-or-treated... he was a mess. What a fun holiday and a lil bear's perfect night!
Happy Halloween
Am I cute or what?!
NO MORE PUMPKINS!!
I love Halloween & Trick-or-Treating...
But is this outfit really necessary mom?
Trick or Treat...
Smell our feet...
And thanks for giving us something good to EAT! We are outta here!
And even though it sprinkled... it didn't rain on our parade
Don't even think about touching my candy uncle Blake
But I for sure will share with my sweet Aunt Lyd
Boots... our precious little poodle in pink
More CHOCOLATE please!
Please... NO more pictures!
Bedtime after all that sugar... yeah right, who do they think their kidding?!

We also had a great Friday night and got to go support my oldest brother Brad as he was inducted into our high school Marist's Hall of Fame. It is such a huge honor and we are so proud of him. It was a fun family night watching high school football and we even got to all go out on the field which Phil and Philip of course loved!

"Oh Wow"

... is Philip's new favorite saying! It cracks us up as he sounds like such a big boy and he says it in such an exciting voice!! "Oh Wow," were the words that came from his mouth when I picked him up from school today and he showed me his very first ever piece of artwork! He was very proud of himself... as were his mommy and daddy. I think we might have a new artist in the Brosseau family!

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend, we took Philip to a good old fashioned pumpkin patch for some pumpkin fun! He got to pick his very own pumpkin off the vine from which it grew, play in the corn mazes, feed the live animals and ride in wagons galore! It was freezing out but we had a blast and Philip loved running around like a wild man! He even found his own "special" wagon that just happened to say "Texas Ranger" on it and he climbed up in it all by himself before we could tell him not to since it was someone else's wagon. Phil of course wanted lots of photos so we held the wagon captive... afterall it had Texas all over it!

Gamedays in Athens...

are always the best! Philip absolutely loved tailgating at the GA game... although I think he wanted to follow his daddy and uncle Blake's lead a little too much as he kept circling the cooler and trying to grab the first beer he could find. But he had a blast running around dancing (especially in his brand new red squeaky sneakers that his Gigi bought him) and playing with his Gigi, Papa Doc, Aunt Lyd and Uncle Blake, being outside in the great weather and of course eating all that great food, does it get any better than chicken fingers, those infamous steak sandwiches and yummy pound cake and brownies?! Philip also got to go play under the Famous Arches, take a ride on Dawgustus and even got to have lunch at mommy and daddy's favorite place "The Last Resort!" And he didn't want to ever leave that day! What can we say... there is just nothing better... Go DAWGS!

Perfect little healthy baby! Today we had our 18 week ultrasound scan and Philip's little sibling passed the physical with flying colors and was perfect in every way! We are excited to announce that we have decided to not find out the sex until we deliver this little blessing in March. Philip cant wait to meet his new little sister/brother soon! XOXO
