Gamedays in Athens...

are always the best! Philip absolutely loved tailgating at the GA game... although I think he wanted to follow his daddy and uncle Blake's lead a little too much as he kept circling the cooler and trying to grab the first beer he could find. But he had a blast running around dancing (especially in his brand new red squeaky sneakers that his Gigi bought him) and playing with his Gigi, Papa Doc, Aunt Lyd and Uncle Blake, being outside in the great weather and of course eating all that great food, does it get any better than chicken fingers, those infamous steak sandwiches and yummy pound cake and brownies?! Philip also got to go play under the Famous Arches, take a ride on Dawgustus and even got to have lunch at mommy and daddy's favorite place "The Last Resort!" And he didn't want to ever leave that day! What can we say... there is just nothing better... Go DAWGS!

It's a...

Perfect little healthy baby! Today we had our 18 week ultrasound scan and Philip's little sibling passed the physical with flying colors and was perfect in every way! We are excited to announce that we have decided to not find out the sex until we deliver this little blessing in March. Philip cant wait to meet his new little sister/brother soon! XOXO

The lump in my throat...

...is about the size of a bowling ball. My face is red and puffy, my head is pounding and I've been crying on and off for more than two hours... Philip started preschool today! He did great at first- exploring the room, meeting new friends, clapping and smiling. But then I had to go to the front office to take care of some room mom business and he started screaming his head off crying mama when he saw me leave the room. It was like someone was pulling my heart right out and stomping on it... I hated to leave him that way! But then by the time I was done (about the time it takes to tie your shoes) Philip had already stopped crying when I went to peak through the window at him.
... And then the crying started the moment my feet hit the parking lot... it seemed like the hardest thing I have done as a parent so far watching my little angel grow up. I just couldn't believe how fast this last year and a half have gone by. Before I know it he will be driving a car, going off to college and calling to ask for money! After trying to collect myself in the car, I decided to drive to Chick-fil-A. Philip and I are regulars there so of course I got, "where's that precious baby?" answered with me crying! Then I went to pick up Tex from the vet and three strangers asked if I was ok... three! Then off to Harris Teeter to get some groceries, again where we are regulars. "Where's that little smiling Philip?" more crying. I called about half an hour ago and they said Philip is doing great! However, I can hardly wait until I get to go pick him up - in two hours! Let's just hope this gets easier...

Danny and Diana's Big Dallas wedding

Congrats to Danny and Diana on their fabulous wedding and marriage! We love yall both and wish yall the best and couldn't have had more fun on your special day in Dallas. Philip loved wearing his little man tuxedo again and of course loved being on stage after the wedding (his favorite memory I am pretty sure)! Everyone else's favorite memory though is by far the infamous Brosseau boys "perms!" Yes, they really did all perm their hair to surprise everyone as they walked out for the wedding ceremony... unbeliveable! Lets just say I am sure glad it took them 5 years to come up with this brilliant idea (as Phil and I just had our 5yr anniversary this year)! Love you Danny and Diana! XOXO

Philip is going to be...

A BIG BROTHER!!!!!! Yep, it is true, I am prego again, am 13 weeks along and due March 10, 2010! This little angel in my tummy is just perfect and is already so precious to us all! Philip is very excited about his new little brother/sister to-be as he smiled and clapped in the ultrasound when we saw the heartbeat for the first time and won't stop sporting his new favorite "big brother" t-shirt! They will be 23 months apart (like 2 peas in a pod)... are we crazy or what?! We feel so blessed beyond words about our growing family and next March just can't get here soon enough! Love you all, XOXO.

Philip's One Year Photo Shoot

Well what can we say... Philip is a natural on camera! He absolutely LOVES being the center of attention (and I wonder who he gets that from?!). But after seeing all these precious pictures... I think we have a little model in the making for sure!

Happy Birthday...

... to Papa Doc, Gigi, Blake, Grandaddy and Aunt Vicki!!  Happy Happy Birthday to all our Family August Birthdays! We had a huge party at Gigi and Papa Docs house with swimming fun, cake and homemade ice cream. No bedtimes, No rules and Nothing but FUN!

Boy did Philip have a great week!! To Gigi and Papa Docs house he went for a week to play while Phil and I went with some of our friends to St. Johns for 4 days! Philip of course had a blast at his grandparents house where he got spoiled rotten (but then again isn't that what grandparents are for?!). He of course didn't have a bedtime (as the rule is No bedtimes at Gigi and Papa Docs house) and he got to go to a Braves game with Gigi, Papa Doc, Aunt Mandy and Uncle Scott, and great-grandparents Grandmommie and Granddaddy where he had his first taste of COTTON CANDY (and boy did he LOVE it... he is for sure my child with his love of straight sugar). He also got to play for the night with his great-grandmother Mimi who taught him his animal sounds (his favorite is of course what does the cow say?... MMMMM - can you tell we go to Chick-fil-A often these days?!) and he had multiple lunch and dinners at the Club where he had his favorite meal sgetti which was always topped off with the famous ice cream bar with m&ms. Philip also loved to feed Papa Doc's fish daily with Papa Doc and loved being able to do his new favorite sign "fish" as he thinks it is just so funny! So as you can see... he had a dream week... he probably didn't want to come home but after not seeing my little man for a week... his daddy and I were very eager to bring him home!! Thank you so much Gigi and Papa Doc for keeping our little angel... we love ya'll very much!!

PAMPERS and PACIS FREE
Our trip to St. Johns was amazing of course... the water was so blue and gorgeous and our house was unbelievable and overlooked the Great Cruz Bay! We celebrated with Rebecca and Jay Levell, Liz and Michael Riley, and Katie and Will Taylor and didn't want to come home. The trip was full of fabulous dinners especially our meal at ZoZo's, fruity cocktails (the specialty of course were the painkillers) with virgin ones for me, sun-filled days on Cinnamon Bay Beach, a fabulous boat trip where we went island hopping to the BVI's (life just doesn't get any better than this), having drinks at the ever so famous Foxy's and we actually got to meet Foxy himself while also partying at the Soggy Dollar Bar on the Beach which was voted best beach bar in the world for the last 4 years! All in all you could say we did it all... as we celebrated Jay's 30th bday, Jay and Rebecca's engagement, and Power T's 30th bday in style. It was a trip to remember for sure... hopefully we can make it an annual event!! And just for the record...
1- Jay, you will never be allowed to drive my children anywhere (even where driving is permitted on the left hand side of the road)
2- My answer was clearly BEFORE the buzzer
3- And NO Phil, we are NOT naming our next child Cleve
XOXO
