Bye Bye Crib...
and hello big boy bed! Philip slept last night for the very first time in his new adorable Pottery Barn Kids big boy bed. We did our usual routine of getting ready for "night night" as he loves to call it. I then laid in his new bed with him and we read his favorite books. He slept all night and we never even had to go back in his room once to put him back to bed... what can I say, he loves to sleep just like his mommy!

Happy Happy Birthday Phil!!
Yesterday, January 20th, was Phil's birthday. We had a great day as a family and even got to spend time with our favorite Grande who was in town visiting for a few days... what a special treat! Phil had breakfast with his dad just the two of them (his all time favorite thing to do), then we went to a fun lunch at Big Daddy's one of our all time favorites which was then followed by dinner out with our best friends the Harrells at the Village Tavern. Philip loved getting to help his daddy open all his cards and gifts that night and especially LOVED helping him eat his chocolate birthday cake!! Philip loved the cake so much that his new favorite word now is of course "cake" and he points to it all day long until we cut him a little taste. A true son after his daddy's heart. We love you babe and are so blessed to have you in our lives! I still cant believe I am married to a 31 year old and am still in my twenties :o) XOXO

Philip's First Official Haircut
Well we knew it was finally time to get Philip's haircut when everywhere we went people asked me how old "she" was and told me how cute "she" was! I still can't believe how ignorant people can be... I mean afterall who would dress their little girl in trucks and all blue boy outfits?! So today was the day and we had Philip's first official haircut... he loved it and did great! My mom and I took him to this precious kids cuts place in Charlotte called "Pigtails and Crewcuts." I can't believe how good he did, but afterall if someone was stuffing my face with cookies, letting me drive my very own firetruck all while watching Blues Clues... I would probably be pretty good too! The sweet hairdresser promised to not cut too much of the curls away as I just love them so much and Phil couldn't believe we actually paid someone to barely trim Philip's hair... but what can I say, first haircuts are emotional and I just didn't want them to cut too much of his baby hair away! The little bit that they did cut... we of course saved. :o)
